CNN anchor Don Lemon has found himself in the hot seat after comments made in response to Ambassador Nikki Haley’s desire for all politicians over the age of 75 to pass a competency test before taking public office.

Lemon’s ridiculous Google-fueled assessment of women and their “prime years” comes on the heels of Tuesday’s announcement that Haley would enter the 2024 Presidential race. Haley is currently the lone Republican challenger to former President Donald Trump, and Lemon doesn’t like it one bit.

Lemon Apologizes….Sort Of

Lemon has since apologized for his ridiculous statements but failed to mention Ambassador Haley by name. 

The reference I made to a woman’s “prime” this morning was inartful and irrelevant, as colleagues and loved ones have pointed out, and I regret it. A woman’s age doesn't define her either personally or professionally. I have countless women in my life who prove that every day.

Irony Escapes Lemon

Lemon is no stranger to making dumb statements like the ones directed toward women over 40+, but at 56 years old Lemon is five years older than Ambassador Haley so what does that say about him?

Lemon the Hypocrite

Hypocrisy is nothing new for Lemon, but as recently as 2019, Lemon praised 50+ women like Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, and Elizabeth Warren.

Lemon and his ilk love to gush and fawn over anyone they agree with, and anyone who doesn’t fit their mold gets the double standard while Lemon gets a pass.

Lemon Checks Two of the Three Big Boxes

Unlike the Fox hosts, Lemon is a homosexual person of color and thus is held to a much different standard than his heterosexual male colleagues. It’s far more difficult to discipline Lemon because he can pull the race card or claim homophobia to escape his own poorly researched opinions presented as facts and the Left would stand behind him 100%.

Caucasian commentators such as Marv Albert, Curt Schilling, Rush Limbaugh, Jimmy “The Greek” Snyder, Steve Lyons, and Mark Madden couldn’t escape losing their jobs due to racist or misogynistic comments. Still, Lemon always seems to get a free pass, and the reason why is easy to figure out.

Crickets from the Left

As usual, past their prime politicians (according to Lemon) like Harris, Warren, Maxine Waters, and Nancy Pelosi, just to name a few, have been quiet as church mice and have failed to publicly criticize their useful idiot. That’s not a surprise but you can bet your last dollar they’d be demanding for Carlson and Watters to be fired had they shared the same thoughts on 40+ women.

Like Always Lemon will Survive

Lemon has survived everything from being accused of sexually assaulting a bartender to his 2013 comments about African-Americans and single moms. Let’s not forget his sharp criticism of TMZ Founder Harvey Levin’s brand of journalism or his support of actor Jussie Smollett. He’ll escape this one as well.
